(1) Horizontal boring machine
The horizontal boring machine is the most widely used type of boring machine. It is mainly used for hole processing, and the boring accuracy can reach IT7, and the surface roughness Ra value is 1.6-0.8um. The main parameter of the horizontal boring machine is the spindle diameter.
Horizontal boring machine
The boring spindle is arranged horizontally and feeds axially. The spindle box moves vertically along the front column guide rail, and the worktable moves longitudinally or transversely to perform boring processing. This type of machine tool is widely used and relatively economical. It is mainly used for hole processing of box (or bracket) parts and other processing surfaces related to holes.
(2) Coordinate boring machine
The coordinate boring machine is a type of high-precision machine tool. Its structural feature is a precise measuring device with coordinate position. Coordinate boring machines can be divided into single-column coordinate boring machines, double-column coordinate boring machines and horizontal coordinate boring machines. Boring machines equipped with precision coordinate positioning devices are primarily used for boring holes requiring high precision in size, shape, and especially position. They can also be used for precision coordinate measurement, template marking, and grading.
Single-column jig boring machines: The spindle drives the tool for rotational motion, while the spindle sleeve provides axial feed motion. Features: Simple structure and easy operation, particularly suitable for machining precision holes in plate-shaped parts. However, due to its poor rigidity, this design is only suitable for small and medium-sized jig boring machines.
Twin-column jig boring machines: The tool is mounted on the spindle for primary motion, while the workpiece is mounted on the worktable and moves longitudinally along the bed rails. This design offers superior rigidity and is commonly used in large jig boring machines. The key parameter of a twin-column jig boring machine is the worktable width.
Horizontal jig boring machines: The worktable rotates horizontally, and feed motion can be achieved by either longitudinal movement of the worktable or axial movement of the spindle. They offer high machining accuracy. (3) Diamond boring machine
It is characterized by processing with a very small feed rate and a very high cutting speed, so the workpieces processed have a high dimensional accuracy (IT6) and the surface roughness can reach 0.2 microns.
It is a boring machine that uses diamond or carbide tools for precision boring.
(4) Deep hole drilling and boring machine
The deep hole drilling and boring machine itself has strong rigidity, good precision, a wide range of spindle speeds, and the feed system is driven by an AC servo motor, which can meet the needs of various deep hole processing processes. The oiler is tightened and the workpiece is tightened by a hydraulic device, with instrument display, safe and reliable. The following working modes can be selected: 1. The workpiece rotates, the tool rotates and the feed moves back and forth, suitable for drilling and small diameter boring; 2. The workpiece rotates, the tool does not rotate and only reciprocates, suitable for boring large diameter holes and trepanning; 3. The workpiece does not rotate, the tool rotates and the feed moves back and forth, suitable for drilling complex workpieces and small diameter drilling and small diameter boring. (5) Floor-type boring machines
The workpiece is placed on a floor-type workbench, and the column moves longitudinally or transversely along the bed. It is used for processing large workpieces.
There are also milling and boring machines that can perform milling, or deep-hole boring and drilling machines that can perform drilling.
