For mold factories, mold cores can be processed from rough milling to finish milling to drilling and tapping without flipping, reducing positioning errors caused by repeated clamping and ensuring good dimensional consistency.
II. Smooth Chip Removal
The vertical spindle design allows chips to fall naturally due to gravity, and with the help of a high-flow-rate coolant, they are quickly flushed into the chip conveyor. When machining deep-cavity molds or box-shaped parts, chips are less likely to accumulate at the bottom, reducing secondary scratches on the tool and machined surface, and extending tool life.

III. Rigidity capable of withstanding heavy cutting
Currently, mainstream vertical machining centers generally use HT300 cast iron beds, combined with multiple artificial aging treatments to release internal stress. Heavy-duty models mostly use roller linear guides, which have a large contact area and strong vibration resistance, making it less prone to vibration when machining steel parts with large-diameter face milling cutters and large depth of cut.
IV. Wide Range of Travel Specifications
Vertical machining centers offer one of the widest ranges of travel specifications. Smaller models are suitable for precision electrodes and inserts, while larger models can handle ultra-large molds and structural components. When selecting a model, simply match it to the workpiece dimensions; there’s no need to spend extra money on travel that you won’t need.
