Principles and precautions when purchasing CNC machine tools!

  1. When choosing the type of CNC machine tool, you must first determine the technical requirements and process specifications of the products the company needs to process, and determine the type of CNC machine tool based on the needs of the process flow and production line rhythm. There are many types of CNC machine tools. Only the correct type can be selected. Only then can the CNC machine tool play its best role and achieve the best performance-price ratio.
  2. When choosing a CNC equipment manufacturer, the scale, size and technical strength of the manufacturer are closely related to whether the performance of the CNC equipment can work properly. Unreasonable selection of manufacturers will lead to many inherent defects and unreasonable aspects of the equipment, which cannot be understood at all when looking at the equipment instruction manual or looking at equipment samples. Salesmen and manufacturers always choose the various advantages of the equipment to introduce to customers. The key thing to pay attention to is that Taiwan’s CNC companies are established very quickly and close down very quickly. Sometimes there are even cases where the equipment has been closed down and there are still promoters selling it. If you do not pay attention to these problems, the machine tool will fail during delivery acceptance and during the warranty period. The manufacturer went out of business, and after the equipment was working normally, it broke down and could not be repaired. The manufacturer was unable to honor the one-year warranty period. At the same time, such a factory must have incomplete original data and maintenance data for various equipment, and it will be difficult for users to repair by themselves. Therefore, when choosing a manufacturing company, try to choose a well-known manufacturer.
  3. Choose equipment from well-known brands and well-known brands. Among the many CNC equipment manufacturers in Taiwan, many CNC equipment manufacturers with certain strength have their own famous products. For example, only one specification of CNC lathes produced by a certain factory is a high-quality product that has won the title of famous brand. The performance of other lathes cannot be compared with CNC lathes of this specification. However, in order to increase market share and competitiveness and achieve higher profits, some manufacturers and promoters take advantage of the weakness of mainland enterprises that do not fully understand the production situation of Taiwan’s CNC equipment to promote types of CNC machinery that they have never produced to mainland purchasing enterprises. In this way, mainland procurement companies originally required a company to have a well-known brand of CNC machinery, but in fact they purchased a counterfeit product, that is, the same production company, CNC equipment of different specifications, and this kind of CNC machine tools often produce many design problems. The defects have caused many unnecessary and insurmountable shortcomings for mainland users when the equipment is put into production. This is one of the main reasons why many purchased equipment cannot be used properly and are idle.
  4. Choose the system used by CNC equipment. The so-called system selection generally involves choosing a system from a relatively well-known brand, but this is not the key. The key lies in the ability of the CNC equipment factory to develop and use the system itself. Because many systems now have quite complete functions, manufacturers have certain set prices for various functions of the system (except for common functions). That is to say, the purchasing company does not fully understand the system functions and does not ask for it when purchasing equipment. If the system requires various functions, the manufacturer will only provide general commonly used functions. When the missing functions are found during delivery and the manufacturer is requested, the manufacturer will use intellectual property rights as an excuse and need to pay additional money to purchase them. The manufacturer itself has not developed this function, and it refuses to provide the function based on the contract content. This will greatly restrict users from fully utilizing the advantages and efficiency of CNC machine tools, so they must be selected when choosing a system. Consider the system application and function development capabilities of companies that produce CNC equipment. When negotiating, users should fully put forward their requirements for system functions, so that the equipment can fully function. At the same time, they can also get multi-functional CNC equipment without spending a penny more. If the company has purchased Taiwanese machine tools, it will definitely When adding a function, the price will be increased and the function will be given away as a friendly gesture at the end of the negotiation, but don’t forget that this function should have been included when we purchased the machine tool.
  5. Various original data and necessary maintenance data of the equipment. Before reaching a final agreement, the supplier must provide various original data and maintenance data for CNC equipment. By studying and understanding these data, you can have a certain understanding of the production capacity and design capabilities of the manufacturer. If you neglect this aspect, work will cause a lot of unnecessary trouble after the equipment is put into production. Because the random data of Taiwan CNC manufacturers is affected by the design capabilities of the manufacturer, it is generally not very complete. Some companies are relatively complete, but they will not provide relatively complete equipment information and maintenance information to mainland purchasing companies. Therefore, before we purchase equipment, we must have a clear understanding of all the information on the equipment. Generally, the information included in CNC equipment is:

    (2) Programming instruction manual;
    (3) Mechanical structure exploded view;
    (4) Strong current schematic diagram and detailed arrangement diagram;
    (5) Principle diagram of weak current structure and detailed arrangement diagram;
    (6) Hydraulic schematic diagram and detailed hydraulic distribution diagram;
    (7) Cooling system schematic diagram and detailed distribution connection diagram;
    (8) Schematic diagram and detailed distribution arrangement diagram of the lubrication system;
    (9) Spindle cooling system schematic diagram and detailed connection arrangement diagram;
    (10) Equipment PC diagram;
    (11) Equipment system operation manual and maintenance manual;
    (12) Various parameter setting methods and spindle parameter setting methods, and the uses of parameters;
    (13) Equipment debugging methods (including mechanical and electrical);
    (14) Layout drawings of various sensors, detailed lists of electrical components, and detailed lists of various consumable parts;
    (15) Solutions to common faults;
    (16) Instructions, user manuals and detailed information on electrical machinery for various purchased parts.

If a CNC manufacturing company can fully possess the above correct information, it should be said that this company has quite mature design and process capabilities for each interface of the system, which can fully ensure that the equipment is put into normal production and provide a strong guarantee for the normal use of the equipment.
