Many users have never been exposed to CNC gantry milling machines before, and mistakenly believe that the five-axis gantry machining center is transported as a whole machine like a stenometer, vertical machining center, and small engraving and milling machine. The actual situation is not like this. Since the five-axis gantry machining center is a heavy-duty general CNC equipment, the overall structure of the equipment is larger than other small CNC equipment. Some customers even strongly require us to change the design structure in order to ship the whole machine and save the installation and debugging time of the CNC gantry milling machine. These are all unreasonable. The structure of the CNC gantry milling machine is finely 3D modeled and has a large amount of data theory. Today, Brama Xiaobian will take you to understand the installation instructions of the five-axis gantry machining center.

Regarding the installation instructions of the five-axis gantry machining center, the editor will explain it to everyone in two articles. Today, this article will first explain the three major parts of the installation design of the CNC gantry milling machine.
I. Installation location: In order to maintain the working accuracy of the machine tool, the installation location should be selected with less impact, vibration and temperature changes, so that the lifting and transportation of parts and traffic are not hindered. In addition, the milling machine should not be installed in places where dust and metal chips often fly directly. Avoid rapid wear and tear on the guide rail surface. The limit size of the movement of the two ends of the workbench can be referred to the foundation diagram. The installation position of the electrical cabinet on the foundation diagram is for reference only. When the user arranges it, it can be determined according to the specific situation of the workshop layout (but the length of the cable should be considered)
II. Installation foundation: The working accuracy of the milling machine is closely related to the structural rigidity of the installation foundation. Poor foundation construction will cause deformation after being loaded, which will seriously damage the accuracy of the machine tool. The preparation of the installation foundation must take into account the soil conditions, temperature changes, groundwater and other influences. The construction of the installation foundation should be carried out according to the foundation diagram. Use concrete with a grade of 100 to 150, and leave holes for the installation foundation screws. The excavation depth depends on the bearing capacity of the soil. The foundation diagram stipulates the minimum depth. The foundation surface should be flat, and the installation of the planer and milling machine must be carried out after the concrete is *dry.
Analysis of vibration failure caused by electrical control of five-axis gantry machining center
1) Separation method: For motor-built-in feed or spindle movement, the coupling between the motor and the transmission mechanism should be loosened or hung in neutral position, and run at multiple speeds respectively. The cause of vibration can be determined based on whether the motor runs smoothly.
2) Parameter method: In a closed-loop system, improper setting (or adjustment) of parameters (such as loop gain, acceleration/deceleration time constant, etc.) may cause oscillation, especially after the machine tool has been running for a period of time, some parameters need to be readjusted due to changes in mechanical clearance. When a vibration failure occurs, some parameters should be appropriately changed, and at the same time, observe whether the vibration phenomenon changes. Some of these parameters are given in the form of machine tool parameters, and some are adjusted with potentiometers on the driver.
3) External drive method: For vibration caused by the operation of the spindle of gantry milling machines, lathes, milling machines and other machine tools, the five-axis gantry machining center can use an ordinary AC motor (or a DC motor with a welding machine power supply to drive the speed change) to drive the spindle to rotate through a coupling to determine the cause of vibration. Pay attention to the concentricity of the spindle and the motor shaft. And release the brake of the spindle.
4) Current measurement method: Vibration failure caused by mechanical reasons usually causes torque changes. The motor current can be measured during constant speed and no-load operation to see whether its change is consistent with the vibration.
