CNC processing refers to a mechanical processing method that processes parts on CNC lathes and uses digital information to control the displacement of parts and tools. It is an effective way to solve problems such as part variability, small batches, complex shapes, and high precision, and to achieve high-efficiency and automated processing.

The process rules of CNC lathe processing and traditional machine tool processing are generally consistent, but since CNC is a one-time clamping and continuous automatic processing to complete all turning processes, some matters need to be paid attention to after CNC lathe processing is completed.
Precautions after CNC lathe processing:
- Remove chips, wipe the machine tool, and keep the machine tool and the environment clean.
- Pay attention to check or replace the oil wiper on the worn machine tool guide rail.
- Check the status of lubricating oil and coolant, and add or replace them in time.
- Turn off the power and main power on the machine tool operation panel in turn.
- When starting the machine tool, the principle of returning to zero first (except for special requirements), manual, inching, and automatic should be followed. The operation of the machine tool should follow the principle of low speed, medium speed, and then high speed, and the low speed and medium speed operation time shall not be less than 2-3 minutes. Only when it is confirmed that there is no abnormality can work begin.
- It is strictly forbidden to knock, correct and modify the workpiece on the chuck. The next step can be carried out only after the workpiece and tool are clamped.
- The operator must stop the machine when changing tools, workpieces, adjusting workpieces or leaving the machine tool during work.
- The insurance and safety protection devices on the machine tool shall not be disassembled and moved by the operator at will.
- Before the machine tool starts processing, the program verification method must be used to check whether the program used is similar to the processed parts. After confirmation, the safety protection cover can be fixed and the machine tool can be started for part processing.
- Machine tool accessories, measuring tools and tools should be properly kept, kept intact and in good condition, and compensation will be paid for loss or damage.
- After the training is completed, the machine tool should be cleaned and kept clean, the tailstock and carriage should be moved to the end of the bed, and the power supply of the machine tool should be cut off.
- When a machine tool fails or has an abnormal phenomenon during operation, it should be stopped immediately, the site should be protected, and the site responsible should be reported immediately.
- Operators are strictly prohibited from modifying machine tool parameters. When necessary, the equipment manager must be notified and asked to modify.
- Understand the technical requirements of the part drawing and check whether the blank size and shape are defective. Choose a reasonable method to install parts.
- Correctly select CNC turning tools, and ensure that parts and tools are installed accurately and firmly.
- Understand and master the control and operation panels of CNC machine tools and their operating essentials, accurately input the program into the system, simulate inspection and room cutting, and make all preparations before processing.
- If the lathe is found to have abnormal operation sound or failure during processing, stop the machine immediately for inspection and report to the instructor to avoid danger.
