Brief Introduction of Pipe Bending Machine

A pipe bender is a machine used for bending pipes and can also be used as a jack. It is roughly divided into CNC pipe bender, hydraulic pipe bender, etc. It is used in pipeline laying and repair in power construction, road and railway construction, bridges, ships, etc.

Pipe bending machines can be roughly divided into CNC pipe bending machines, hydraulic pipe bending machines, etc. They are mainly used for laying and repairing pipes in power construction, road and railway construction, boilers, bridges, ships, furniture, decoration, etc. They have the advantages of multiple functions, reasonable structure, and simple operation. In addition to the pipe bending function, this machine can also use the cylinder as a hydraulic jack. Compared with CNC pipe bending equipment, it has the characteristics of low price and easy use, and occupies a leading position in the domestic pipe bending machine market.

Structure

  1. The pipe bending machine adopts a touch screen plus a CNC module, with a dialogue-based operation and easy program setting;
  2. The bed structure is stable and not easy to deform;
  3. Each gear can set 16 bending angles, and the memory can store 16 sets of files;
  4. It has a slow positioning function, the bending angle is stable, and the repeatability accuracy reaches ±0.1°;
  5. Error messages are displayed on the screen to help the operator eliminate them immediately;
  6. It provides self-developed coordinate conversion bending processing values, and the software can be purchased and installed on a desktop computer for editing and calculation.
    Process
    The bending of pipes by the pipe bending machine is the same as the bending of sheets. In the case of pure bending, when a pipe with an outer diameter of D and a wall thickness of t is bent by an external torque M, the outer wall of the neutral layer is subjected to a tensile stress of σ1, and the wall becomes thinner; the inner wall of the neutral layer is subjected to a compressive stress of σ1, and the wall becomes thicker. Moreover, the shape of the cross section changes from a circle to an approximate ellipse due to the combined forces F1 and F2. When the deformation is too large, cracks will appear on the outer wall and wrinkles will appear on the inner wall.
    The degree of deformation of the pipe depends on the relative bending radius R/D and the relative thickness t/D. The smaller the R/D and t/D values, the greater the degree of deformation. In order to ensure the forming quality of pipe fittings, the degree of deformation must be controlled within the permitted range. The bending forming limit of the pipe not only depends on the mechanical properties and bending method of the material, but also considers the use requirements of the pipe fittings. The forming limit of the pipe fittings should include the following contents:
    1) The maximum elongation deformation in the tensile deformation zone outside the neutral layer does not exceed the plastic allowable value of the material and cause rupture;
    2) In the compression deformation zone inside the neutral layer, the thin-walled structure part under the action of tangential compressive stress will not exceed instability and wrinkle;
    3) If the pipe fitting has an ovality requirement, control its cross-section distortion;
    4) If the pipe fitting has a strength requirement to withstand internal pressure, control its forming limit of wall thickness thinning.
