Equipment that can complete the above functions are called machine tools. CNC machine tools are developed from ordinary machine tools. CNC means digital control. After installing a CNC system on a machine tool, the machine tool becomes a CNC machine tool. Of course, the development of ordinary machine tools into CNC machine tools is not just as simple as adding systems. For example, from milling machines to machining centers, the structure of machine tools has changed. The most important thing is to add tool magazines, which greatly improves accuracy. The main functions of the machining center are milling, boring and drilling.

The CNC equipment we generally refer to mainly refers to CNC lathes and machining centers.

Our country can currently produce various types of CNC machine tools, with varying levels. Some are at world level, and some are 10-15 years behind foreign countries. Taken together, Germany has the highest level and Japan has the largest output value. The machine tool industry in the United States is average. Mainland China, South Korea, and Taiwan are at the same level. But in terms of categories and types, we should be among the top four in the world.

Therefore, in order to improve the technology of CNC machine tools themselves, practitioners have to continue to learn.

  1. CNC system

It consists of a display, controller servo, servo motor, and various switches and sensors. At present, the three largest manufacturers in the world are: Japan’s Fanuc, Germany’s Siemens, and Japan’s Mitsubishi; the others include France’s TUM, Spain’s Van Gogh, etc. Domestically, there are Huazhong CNC, Aerospace CNC, etc.

Huazhong CNC has developed rapidly in recent years, and its software level is quite good. However, the only shortcoming is its electrical hardware, which has a relatively high failure rate. Huazhong CNC also intends to enter the CNC machine tool industry, but the hardware of the machine tools is not good and the quality accuracy is average. At present, some large domestic manufacturers have not adopted Huazhong CNC. The simple CNC system of Guangzhou Machine Tool Factory is also good.

  2. The accuracy of mechanical processing machine tools is divided into five categories: static accuracy, processing accuracy (including dimensional accuracy and geometric accuracy), positioning accuracy, and repeat positioning accuracy.
  3. Machine tool accuracy system: Currently, there are roughly four systems recognized in our country: German VDI standard, Japanese JIS standard, international standard IS0 standard, and national standard GB. The national standard is similar to the international standard.
