Advantages and setting requirements of vertical machining centers

With higher static and dynamic style, vertical machining centers are expensive, and their processing costs are much higher than traditional machine tools, which requires measures to be taken to significantly reduce the processing time of single pieces. Reducing the processing time of single pieces includes two aspects. On the one hand, the development of new tool materials, such as cutting speed, has increased exponentially, greatly reducing the design features and requirements of vertical machining centers. The structural rigidity of components such as the machine bed, guide rails, worktable, tool holder and spindle box will affect its own geometric accuracy and the error caused by deformation. During processing, the machining center is affected by external heat sources such as cutting heat and friction heat, and each component will undergo different degrees of thermal deformation, which will affect the machining accuracy of the workpiece. The friction between moving parts is small and the transmission system gap is eliminated. The displacement of the worktable of the machining center is based on the pulse equivalent as the minimum unit. Under conditions such as tool setting, the worktable often moves at a very low speed.
