I. Basic Definition of Gantry Machining Center
Gantry Machining Center: Abbreviated as gantry milling machine/gantry, it belongs to the large vertical CNC cutting machine tools. Its frame has a “gantry” gantry structure, with the worktable moving back and forth, the gantry beam carrying the spindle moving left and right, and the spindle head feeding along the vertical Z-axis.
Core Positioning: Machining large, heavy, high-precision, and large-size parts; it is a core piece of equipment in the mold, wind power, and construction machinery fields.
- Classification by Structure
(1) Fixed Beam Gantry: The crossbeam is fixed, while the X-axis of the worktable moves back and forth; it has high rigidity and stability, making it the first choice for heavy cutting, and is the mainstream for molds and wind power.
(2) Moving Beam Gantry: The worktable is fixed, while the crossbeam moves up and down; suitable for ultra-large height workpieces, and for processing ultra-high box-shaped structures.
(3) Moving Column Gantry: The worktable is fixed, while the two side columns move left and right as a whole; dedicated to ultra-long plates and long profiles.
(4) Five-Axis Gantry: The spindle head has AC/BC swing heads, enabling five-axis linkage, suitable for processing large curved surfaces and aerospace composite material molds.

(2) Medium gantry: X 3000～6000 mm
